I’ll need billions and billions of dollars as there is so much work to do.

Finally, someone with a fucking clue. They don’t understand all of what’s happening with cancel culture, but enough to begin to make sense of it. Why is it so rare to find someone who can think worth a damn?
I’m in IT, and it’s funny to me that regular businesspeople are surprised when I write, speak and present well. I know there are many in my field who are barely capable of normal human interactions, but that I am gives me a superpower in my chosen field.
Management types want to be around me and want my advice because I am able to speak cogently, communicate difficult concepts readily, and I write well. And guess what? Being around management types is how you get noticed and get ahead.
So don’t tell me that the “liberal arts” stuff is worthless. That’s a fucking obvious lie.
More than 60 people shared their accounts of Warren Ellis. Their next steps are worth your time.
So the Warren Ellis thing looks like exactly what I said it was: some admittedly sleazy dude dates and has sex with a bunch of women who are also using him to boost their careers — careers aren’t boosted as much as hoped, and now they are angry.
He didn’t assault or rape anyone. He didn’t coerce anyone as most people would understand it. The “power imbalance” seems self-chosen to me.
What a waste of everyone’s time. Romantic disappointment sucks, but it’s not worth this much of anyone’s effort and it shouldn’t be a crime. I feel bad for Ellis and his self-deluded followers and paramours. What a bunch of numpties, all of them.
Liberals and jihadists are the only ones who believe writing something nasty and gunning someone down are roughly equivalent.
It's unsurprising that Americans use our social power structures and class system to abuse and oppress each other.
That's what we believe social power structures and class systems are for.

That does align with our history and culture, yes. I see no lie here.
For those who say Cancel Culture Isn't Real, a museum curator was accused of being a white supremacist because he—get this—said that he would still curate *some* art created by white men. Totally inoffensive, yet he was branded a racist and forced out. https://t.co/MdHGex0WfD

The only people who say cancel culture isn’t real are those who want to engage in it to enhance their job prospects.

Most people know zero history of any kind. Absolutely none. Not even the faintest clue. And the consequences of that are everywhere.
c. 20% of small businesses are going out of business. 32% of Americans couldn't make their rent or mortgage in July, up from 30% in June.
You haven't even begun to see riots. I hope they storm the white house and Congress when Congress is in session.

Believe it or not, we’re now in the good times. In a year or so, we’ll look back on these days of relative calm as the halcyon era.
You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
Trans women significantly outnumber trans men, and nonbinary females significantly outnumber nonbinary males. In these groups, people born male seem much more interested in a solid female identity, whereas people born female are more interested in an ambiguous one. 1/

It’s because, as unpopular as it is to say, women get a *lot* of advantages in the West for being women — the dating market is much, much, much, much easier (even given the risk of violence), and if you’re a reasonably attractive woman, many doors just open for you (sometimes literally).
Even women who claim not to want these advantages benefit from them, and especially if they are non-sociopaths and pretty, they often don’t even realize they are walking the easy path in many areas.
I am not trans in any way, but if I could’ve been born a woman, I’d much prefer that. It would’ve made most of my life easier (and some parts harder).
So, then, it makes sense from a benefit-maximization perspective to keep being a woman, while attempting to negate the worst parts. It’s an understandable strategy. You can see that strategy here, where Alice still benefits from being a quite attractive, slim woman, while attempting to negate the worst parts of being a woman:
I'm waiting for some soup to cool on the stove, so I guess I'll do a thread about gender

Not to pick on her (I like her, she’s smart), but it’s the strategy in action.
