Every once in a while I remember that Einstein's most cited paper is the one where he says "quantum mechanics must be bunk, because if it is true all these crazy things must also be true."
He led the field in predicting quantum effects!

Turns out all those crazy things (and more) were true. Occam’s Razor is only useful if you don’t know anything else. Complexity is unavoidable when it matches actual features of the universe.
