People seriously underestimate how many problems with the American economy are just caused by stupid shit like nimbyism that we could just stop doing. It’s more interesting to think that there are these structural problems that require radical action

NIMBYism is one of the worst of these. It’s reduced potential GDP likely by 30%. I’d guess more like 50%.
