One thing that should be studied about the now-foundering Fat Acceptance movement is that they ran an extremely successful propaganda operation that converted millions with quite low resources. That’s actually admirable in it’s way — that is not all that easy to do, and they were instrumental in successfully filling people’s heads with counterscientific nonsense for well more than a decade.

I’m not being flip. It was a successful operation that altered millions of people’s perceptions of the world. Also, harmed millions. But my point is that it worked.
