Message Divergence
One of the reasons for the current gender war is the messages men and women receive as they grow up have diverged a lot since the 1990s.
During the ’90s, both genders were told roughly this: Strive for equality while doing the best you can. Everyone deserves a fair shot. Be as egalitarian as possible and ethical while trying to do what you love. Most people are trying their best and while there are some differences between the sexes, we all have to work together.
Now women receive this messaging: You are special faultless snowflake sparkle princess who deserves the best always. Accountability and responsibility should never touch you; you are a child until you are 40. If that top 0.01% man you so richly deserve doesn’t find you, no one else should darken your door; it’s best to just stay single.
And men are told at the same time: You are by default evil and disposable. Also, a rapist by dint of being born male. This condition is inescapable and women are right to hate you (unless you are one of those top 0.01% men, where your proper role is to be a walking wallet). If you object to any of these obviously-correct assumptions about you, that means you are even worse: an “incel” who should be shamed and shunned by all.
It’s no damn mystery why the two sexes hate one another now as feminism turned pure evil. Nothing else really could’ve occurred.

I am 100% convinced that “Elena Ferrante” is a man. No one but a man can write about women so observationally and so lucidly (with rare exception).
