The news every day should be like the vaccine saved 10k lives compared to a few months ago!!! Instead they’re like “fourth wave” DOOM over what in wider context is really an enormous improvement

Yep. Huge, huge fucking mistake here. The fourth wave is more a bit of rise than a wave (in the US), and the vaccine is working. Mortality has dropped enormously, especially in the age groups most vaccinated, and we’re effectively fighting the virus.
This should be what’s emphasized. Instead, we’re discouraging vaccine uptake by making it appear pointless to get. How do we fail at this repeatedly? Never seem to get any better.
