Yes. I saw some dipshit tweet earlier about how Microsoft under Bill Gates had enough cash on hand to pay one year of salary to all employees, implying that all businesses should do this. Easy to do if you are a de facto monopoly with 90% gross margins.
Most mid-size and small businesses operate on more like 10% gross margin so the above is just impossible.
When you know nothing, anything seems possible.
