I train calves! Do 120+ calf raise reps at least twice a week holding 105 pounds, 52.5 pounds in each hand. Would hold more but that’s as big as my dumbbells are.

When we have more space for it, I need a Smith machine and some sort of cable machine so that I can do proper pull exercises.

Generally, one should use free weights most of the time, but machines are unbeatable for certain exercises and since I have poor balance, a Smith machine is good for squats.

Additional software problem detected in Boeing 737 Max flight control system, officials say.

That plane is not airworthy, now or ever. No, seriously, that’s why the software and system exists (MCAS) because Boeing didn’t bother to design a new plane, instead slapping engines that were too large and too far back on an existing airframe, necessitating software “fixes” to make the plane pretend to be aerodynamically sound.

All those planes should be scrapped. No, I don’t care how much they cost.

Basically.

I try to be the best-dressed in my office, whatever office I’m in. Not too hard in IT, really, given the appalling apparel to be found there. Got in a bit of a competition with a guy at an old job, but beat him out when I showed up in an ornate maroon velvet-lined waistcoat and some fancy-ass pants. Don’t have a picture, unfortunately, and it’s too hot to wear most of the time.

The things that normals get up to I just have trouble understanding, though.
