Also, if one is a consistent market-worshipping libertarian who’s for open borders, no state intervention, no welfare, no unions, the hand of the market will sort it all out, then ok. I don’t like it, I think it’s childish, and frankly, crazy. But it’s a worldview. It’s consistent.

But folks who go “I’m for open borders and healthcare for all” scare me because they sound delusional. It’s not a worldview, it’s a wishlist for Santa.

Yep. Those beliefs make no sense together at all. They are like when you’re 10 years old and reclining on the grass with a friend, daydreaming about how one day you’re going to save the planet from evil with lasers and rockets — it is just as much a fantasy.
