Great example

The first part of this article is a perfectly-executed example of a false dichotomy. Really, itโ€™s rhetorically brilliant.

After that Iโ€™m not sure what the article is arguing as it seems to wish and then wash all over the place, for a wishy-washy waste of space.

It mostly seems to be advocating for preserving the current wonderful state of things โ€” which has worked out just great. For the billionaires, that is.

Whatever will result in Jeff Sommerโ€™s paymasters keeping all their pilfered money is what I am sure Jeff Sommer will ever and always argue for. I mean, itโ€™s the NYT. Promoting the status quo is their business model.
