Ya’ll need to look into virtual machines. It’s very, very easy to do this with VMs. Virtual machines and their hypervisors all support some version of snapshotting (though the names differ). Here’s how to use them in Hyper-V.

This tech has been around for a dozen years, widely available, so isn’t new at all. I’m surprised by how little people keep up with things like this. I use VMs, snapshots, etc. extensively.

If you don’t feel like you have the tech knowledge to handle VMs, Windows 10 supports system restore points that are also very easy to use and are nearly-identical to what this person is requesting. Mac OS has Time Machine which does nearly the same thing.

So…I see people request this sort of thing all the time and it already exists and has for a very long while. Weird.

In my post about Fat Acceptance the other day, I mentioned how they seemed to discuss their bodies as if they were completely disconnected from themselves. Here’s some evidence:

I don’t even disagree with the basic message but I do find it fascinating how they tend to discuss their corporeal beings as if there is no connection at all between their actions in the world and the results of those actions. I know, part of it is that evasion of responsibility is the real American pastime and which is concomitant with the obvious truth that FA could’ve only developed and prospered in the US.

Is this some form of dysmorphia? I’m not a doctor but it strikes me as completely bizarre to discuss one’s body as utterly separate like this.

We found a small leech roaming around in our external entryway. It’s been humid and very rainy lately so I guess they are exploring in the more-hospitable environment.

We put it back outside again.
