Indeed. It is possible to be a vegetarian (but not a vegan) and not appear to be ever on the verge of death, but it takes careful diet management. While being a vegan it’s basically impossible. Every vegan I’ve ever seen looked corpse-like and had poor muscularity. The only exceptions are people who had recently become vegan or who cheated frequently.

It’s better being smart than not, but I hate how every test I take in my life I have to worry about being accused of cheating, or being flagged for review, because I finish them so damn fast.

I messaged a friend a few weeks ago that since it looked like Biden would be a bust, the establishment was likely to get behind Buttigieg. Alas, it seems that I was correct.

This is how propaganda works best. Low- to no-facts people (which most are) steered into mood affiliation with a pervasive, low-level but constant effort over a fairly long time (2-3 years at least).

It’s also why I have doubts the so-called Russian propaganda in the West did much. There just was not much of it relative to the volume of other messages, it wasn’t well-targeted, and didn’t last long enough.

All used in the last 24 hours. I will give up desktop software when you pry it from my cold, dead hands, as it is far less likely to steal all your data, is often a hundred times faster, and just works correctly (mostly), unlike web garbage.

I can and do multiply my productivity over others immensely by not falling prey to the “convenience” of BS slow data-thieving cloud crap.

I like economics because the whole field is so corrupt and full of fake math that even a layperson can have real insights and discover (or re-discover) important ideas in this arena.

And I like sociology for the reason Welsh mentions. No one in power does take it seriously, so you can use it to really quite easily out-think 99% of people with embarrassingly little effort.
