It is strange. When one observes that “Huh, this works fine in other countries, even countries that are far less rich and developed than the US,” one is called a “radical” and cries of “impossible” are heard everywhere.
If being called a radical means that I observe reality, well I guess I’m a radical then.
And I spent my afternoon writing up my opinion as a security professional and CISSP on if and how the CCPA applies to the company where I work.
Conclusion: it does apply. 🙁

That is pretty awesome. For obvious reasons, infrastructure designed for bikes only can be much, much lighter than that designed for cars. That should mean the construction costs are about 1/4 to 1/8 that of a road designed to support up to tractor-trailers.
Possible future: Europe destroys itself with open borders, China then essentially runs the remains, US retreats into isolationism admixed with nationalism, Africa rises as contestant for dominion with China. (India is abandoned due to climate change, so no longer a player.)

Yes, great acting. Christopher Reeve is the only one who has ever shown how a pair of dorky glasses could work as a disguise — because it’s not about the glasses. Those are just a prop for Superman’s/Clark Kent’s own benefit, to remind him who he is (or is not) when the glasses are on.
The actual disguise is every single thing about him is completely different when he’s Clark Kent. The glasses are merely an affordance for easily inhabiting that character.
