Shown Up

In the future, there will not be TV shows or movies as we know them. You’ll input your interests and mood into some form that then uses an AI to procedurally generate an entire show de novo from your inputs in a few minutes — “actors,” scenes, script, everything.

Some will become popular with others, of course, but most people will watch “their” television show, sometimes for years, that does not intersect with what anyone else has ever seen.

After 10 or 20 years of this, people will think it really bizarre that there were once movies and shows that everyone, or at least many millions of people, experienced collectively.

Transitory

I would not be who I am today and where I am if I hadn’t changed myself completely between 9th and 11th grade. It was not easy. It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. I understand why people don’t do these sort of changes — it opens you up for all sorts of abuse and hatred, even from your own friends and family.
