“Progressives” insisting how much will have to be taken away from everyone — air travel, meat, plastic, any travel at all — are sealing their fate and will only harm their cause. They are playing into corporate power structures and reinforcing support for the corp preferred narrative.

Inspire
It’s inspiring how many NYT and other mainstream tools (used in both appropriate senses) are so dead-set against Bernie Sanders. The propaganda campaign is just getting started and it’s already a constant shriek.
Since Elizabeth Warren’s candidacy seems all but over I will be voting for Bernie. Though I wish we had stayed out of the race, he’s the best choice. The establishment power truly despises him and that means he’s the only one who makes sense to support.
I can already hear the rich white “feminists” howling, and it’s a glorious sound.
Demi Less
“One of the benefits that oppression secures for the oppressor is that the humblest among them feels superiorโฆ [T]he most mediocre of males believes himself a demigod next to women.”
โ Simone de Beauvoir, The Second Sex
Shown Up
In the future, there will not be TV shows or movies as we know them. You’ll input your interests and mood into some form that then uses an AI to procedurally generate an entire show de novo from your inputs in a few minutes — “actors,” scenes, script, everything.
Some will become popular with others, of course, but most people will watch “their” television show, sometimes for years, that does not intersect with what anyone else has ever seen.
After 10 or 20 years of this, people will think it really bizarre that there were once movies and shows that everyone, or at least many millions of people, experienced collectively.

That’s the insignia of the 5th Special Forces Group, based in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, though no one would have the metal insignia on a BDU but rather sewn-on cloth insignia (like the American flag above).
The tweet is pretty funny, though.
Transitory
every heroโs journey, summed up: realizing upon pursuing something that what you want is impossible to achieve based on your current identity & you must shed it in order to fully confront the reality of your situation and move towards what you desire
— Ava (@noampomsky) February 5, 2020
I would not be who I am today and where I am if I hadn’t changed myself completely between 9th and 11th grade. It was not easy. It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. I understand why people don’t do these sort of changes — it opens you up for all sorts of abuse and hatred, even from your own friends and family.
Meating Place
I Admire Vegetarians. Itโs a Choice I Wonโt Ever Make.
I will never be a vegetarian, because I don’t like feeling half-dead. Which is how I feel if I don’t eat meat for a few days.
Agents
The last thing I want is for anyone to look at me and see "woman โ probably harassed, probably mistreated at work or undervalued, maybe at some point raped." The very idea that individuals are to be known by their risk factors for oppression is unethical
— Mason 🏃🏻✂️ (@webdevMason) February 21, 2020
But Mason, what do you mean you don’t want to be viewed as a child incapable of making her own decisions? After all, you’re a woman under 35, and feminists claim that you have no agency at all. Embrace your helplessness — it’s the feminist way.
Trump Tank
People who should know better are still underestimating Trump.
Whatever his other issues he is an excellent campaigner and he has the highest instincts of the schoolyard bully–he knows people's weaknesses, and mocks them relentlessly.
— Ian Welsh (@iwelsh) February 20, 2020
From what I am seeing now Trump will win easily against any of the Democratic field. If the economy doesn’t tank, he’s probably got it.
Equal Pressure
2 Socialites Who Died in Freak Ferry Accident in Miami Were Found in Back Seat Embrace.
When the car first goes under and the pressure is unequal, the doors are nearly impossible to open. However, when water fills the car and pressure equalizes the doors become easy to open. Wait for the cabin to fill with water, open a door, swim out.
These women obviously didn’t know that and that lack of knowledge killed them.
Seatthell
After 80 straight days of clouds, Seattle FINALLY has first sunny day of the decade.
So glad we left that hell city. There is so much to hate about Seattle, but the day that lasts about four hours with no sun for months straight is right up there on the list.
It’s Not Arson If It’s Deserved
Supporting Bloomberg in the primary is an easy way to let people know that if Trump had just called himself a Dem you'd be wearing a MAGA hat right now.

Holy shit. She burned the fucking house down with all the centrists inside. I love it.

Yes. I wonder often how I’d be different if I hadn’t grown up in rural North Florida. Probably would be, but the counterfactual is impossible to know.

I want to make a parody version of Billie Eilish’s “You Should See Me In a Crown” called “You Should See Me Fight a Clown.”

At my previous job, where I was not a C-level, I often had 8 hours of meetings scheduled a day. Nightmare. People would try to schedule meetings during my lunch and would get angry when I declined them.
They’d say, “Well, it was the only free time on your calendar!” Yeah, there’s a reason for that.
