Equipped

Can confirm. We had all kinds of extraneous equipment in the 82nd that no one wanted or asked for because some gobshite in Congress pork-barrelled it for us. Meanwhile, the equipment that we needed and used for actual missions and training was often in short supply.

Trouble in Quantumland

People have real trouble understanding that quantum mechanics is fundamentally probabilistic. This misunderstanding is why you hear all the claptrap about determinism I guess.

But it’s not actually that hard to understand. Hell, even the math isn’t that hard to get your head around and I am a fucking dunce at math. The universe is fundamentally probabilistic because quantum mechanics is. That’s all there is to it.

No See

Yet another case where scientists and “experts” are enormously, absurdly, comically wrong. Generational character very much exists, strongly so. It’s hilarious how scientists “test” in all the wrong ways for this and are so sure they are right. How is such blindness possible?

Marginal

Yes. I saw some dipshit tweet earlier about how Microsoft under Bill Gates had enough cash on hand to pay one year of salary to all employees, implying that all businesses should do this. Easy to do if you are a de facto monopoly with 90% gross margins.

Most mid-size and small businesses operate on more like 10% gross margin so the above is just impossible.

When you know nothing, anything seems possible.
