It’s going to be a lot of fun over the next six months hearing how horrible I am for refusing to vote for the Democrat rapist candidate rather than the Republican rapist candidate.
Good times.

Actually discussed in a virtual meeting today: how to keep cats from accidentally commanding spacecraft while this work is going on in people's homes on laptops instead of inside a cat-free #NASA building 🤣🐱 #catsofquarantine pic.twitter.com/JDVouGGlYy

Cats are aiming high these days; they’ve gone from knocking stuff off counters to spacecraft disasters.
Dream big, people. Dream big.
just heard it on the news that theyre gonna start using Crisper to breed dogs that look 100% like beautiful human women

I think I read a Piers Anthony book about this.
personally I think the "party unity problem" is driven more by the fact that The Party just used every resource at their disposal to crush the hopes of an entire generation of young people who they treated with sneering contempt the entire time pic.twitter.com/cViGSkoxAZ

Pretty much. And the young are going to have it far worse due to Great Depression II caused by the Covid-19 economic destruction.
The truth is that the majority of people who would have turned out for Bernie and who now won't turn out at all aren't even on Twitter, they are in neighborhoods and cities around the country that have been abandoned by Democrats and the people yelling at me won't go there either

Yeah. Bernie probably would’ve been able to beat Trump in the general, if he turned away from identity bullshit and back to his old self.
Biden has no shot — maybe not even if the economy is still tanking. What a cataclysmically terrible nominee. Of course, that assumes the Dems actually want to win and care about governing. They do not for either.
A notable shift downward in projected deaths from coronavirus is already being spun as "experts were wrong!!" instead of "hey, the thing experts said would drive down deaths might be driving down deaths."https://t.co/HpUPAyc5tx pic.twitter.com/XLPD39dQfF

Yes. Knew it would happen, is happening, and is just as fucking stupid as I thought it’d be. People always surprise me with how goddamn moronic they can be. Just unbelievable.
No one alive plays the cigar box guitar like Samantha Fish. Very glad I got to see her live once. She also tunes her guitar mid-song without missing anything. Lord. We are not worthy.
Somehow, I’d never seen this video before though I like the song. All about vulnerability, connection, and meaning, of course. The cinematographer, gaffer, and makeup artist did just an amazing job, didn’t they? Wish there were an HD version.
Ima roll up to the Fed discount window and see if they’ll front me a few billion. Why not? Shoddier institutions than my bad self do it every day.
“What bank you with?” they’ll ask.
“Bank of Mike,” I’ll answer, hitting the button to drop the top on my teal ’64 convertible Cadillac Eldorado. “Just put the money in the back seat. I’ll see it gets to the right place.”
“Where’s the right place?” the discount window attendant will ask.
“My fat-ass bank account,” I’ll answer and then pull away, “Moneytalks” by AC/DC blasting on the stereo. Isn’t that how the discount window works? No? Ok, here’s how it really works. They do not accept 1964 Cadillac Eldorados for deposits, not even sweet teal ones. Damn.
The most consequential moment for Bernie in 2020 was his choice to vote for the multi-trillion dollar corporate bailout. I don't like saying this but Bernie's campaign in 2020, like that of Elizabeth Warren, was a moral failure, not just an electoral one.

Agreed with Matt. All of our ideologies, institutions, and leaders are failing — even ones that I like. Just because I like them doesn’t prevent me from seeing that. It’s just glaringly obvious.
One reason I can notice is that I am on no one’s team. I am not a team player. Never have been and never will be, so I just do not have that cognitive bias that prevents people from comprehending what’s right there in front of them because they are on some bullshit team.
I’m already seeing people assert that because the actions we undertook to contain and constrain the spread of Covid-19 worked, we should not have done those things.
How do people think so very poorly? And I’ve also seen the claim that deaths are over-reported. Far more likely, though, is that Covid-19 deaths are under-reported. Why do people have so much trouble thinking about how systems work? It just doesn’t seem difficult to me, but perhaps that’s because I practice a lot. I don’t know.
The economy has a chance of not utterly imploding if we can lift some restrictions soon. It’ll be tight…but maybe.
