Deathly

Official numbers are that 50,000 Americans have died of Covid-19. Itโ€™s probably closer to 80,000, but letโ€™s say that itโ€™s 50,000.

To put that in perspective, thatโ€™d be every single resident of the county where I grew up when I left in 1994 โ€” and about 3,000 more. In the context of the US, itโ€™s not much. In the context of humanity on a more comprehensible scale, itโ€™s a whole lot.
