I have some low-key fury reserved for the men who tell me that I “don’t need plastic surgery” when I know they prefer to look at pictures of (and date) the most beautiful women

I think the worst 20% of men set the agenda here, because they are the most extroverted/dominant. Most men (as a commenter points out) only care about “good enough” and then personality starts to matter a lot more.
But since women often only care about the opinion of this 20%, this greatly skews what they perceive.
She got a nose job, and aesthetically I like women with larger-than-average noses. (For instance, like Lake Bell, who has a much larger nose than the average female celebrity.)
It’s a fairly strong preference. So for me, this surgery would make her less beautiful. Of course, I started reading aella her for her ideas and thoughts anyway. I didn’t even know what she looked like until several weeks in so my opinion is skewed already.
