Winter

If anything, this performance of “Winter” is even better. Another perfect song. If this had been the only song Tori Amos had ever written, she’d still be one of the best songwriters of all time.

I can see the argument for the idea that people should not be allowed to be this good. How do you follow that, as another performer or even as yourself? I’ve only ever seen her from quite far away and never watched her perform that closely in tight zoom at reasonably-high res. It’s great seeing how expressive her face is in this song.

That bridge is so good. I am envious of someone who can write something so just dead fucking on.

Facetime

Great performance I’d never seen before. Was much harder back then. I saw her live in 1994 in Orlando, FL. I paid for a friend of mine who couldn’t afford to go. It was worth the $80 for both of us. We had an amazing time.

Like Tanya Donelly, this little human meant so much to me when I was young and unloved. She and Tanya got me through.

Byoo Tee

I think the worst 20% of men set the agenda here, because they are the most extroverted/dominant. Most men (as a commenter points out) only care about “good enough” and then personality starts to matter a lot more.

But since women often only care about the opinion of this 20%, this greatly skews what they perceive.

She got a nose job, and aesthetically I like women with larger-than-average noses. (For instance, like Lake Bell, who has a much larger nose than the average female celebrity.) It’s a fairly strong preference. So for me, this surgery would make her less beautiful. Of course, I started reading aella her for her ideas and thoughts anyway. I didn’t even know what she looked like until several weeks in so my opinion is skewed already.

Fat And Slow

I know it’s not the same, but I got kicked out of a mall for sitting on a bench (alone) when I’d already bought a movie ticket to a film in the theater I was waiting near.

Apparently, you are allowed to walk in that mall but not “loiter.” That is, sit or stand.

That security guard and I almost got into it. I could’ve easily taken him as he was fat and slow but I would’ve gone to jail and probably been tossed out of the army.

Never did see the movie. Never went back to that mall, either, even though it was the closest one. So they lost at least a few hundred of revenue from me alone. Probably were thousands of others that the same thing happened to.
