Was just thinking how when I was 19, I dated a 25-year-old half-Pakistani woman.
So not only was I being groomed and grooming her (somehow,) I was also a racist and a colonizer! The trifecta! Go me.

If words were as powerful as most of the left thinks they are, magical spells would actually work.
Pre internet and definitely pre cloud, multiple years of uptime was not unusual. I remember having to shut down a server over 4 years uptime for Y2K and being worried it might not come back.
I see long uptime now, all I see is an unpatched opportunity for bad actors.

This is true. I have in the past worked on more than a few systems with 5+ years of uptime. Was not unusual in the threat environment from 1995-2010 or so.
World has changed a lot since then.
How old were you when you began seeing your parents as people and not as a โparental entityโ? But as a person with needs, flaws, fears, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, dreams etc.
I was in my 20โs.
— MrsBundrige (@MrsBundrige) June 22, 2020
Five years old.
That was when I had to get myself up for kindergarten, dress myself, and try to find breakfast and money for lunch (often none) by myself. My dad left for work at 5AM and my mom was incapable of getting up due to what I learned later was most likely depression, but at the time I just thought she was too tired to help me.
As the official COVID-19 death toll creeps past 120,000 in the USA, there is another important comparison to make.
In a normal year, the combined impact of all infectious diseases in the USA will only kill about 120,000.
COVID-19 alone has killed that many in 4 months. pic.twitter.com/fxihJXGHgp

But the flu is worse, and you are racist if you say anything else.
That really aged well, yeah?
Trumpโs personal mistakes on the coronavirus have been extensive and deadly. But the public health establishmentโs failures have likewise been disastrous, totally apart from him โ and we should be just as comfortable calling out that fact. https://t.co/3c3buWr1sm

Imagine if our experts hadn’t told us that masks were useless and that social distancing was racist. Just imagine. That history is being erased now, but we shouldn’t let it happen.
This is stupid and dangerous and an infrastructure bill must be passed ASAP https://t.co/H3s7kHKUm7

We are about to transition from the “really bad” to “oh shit fuck this is very fucking bad kill me now” phase of the Pandemic Depression.
A friend who works for a police department in Ohio said they received numerous calls today to investigate "Antifa dust" on the cars and driveways.
It's pollen.
And now I can't stop laughing about people calling the police on trees.

We truly are the stupidest people ever to live. Truly.
There is an inherent expectation to masculinity that men can suffer more, and this is right and good
Women are not expected to suffer. A woman in pain will always draw sympathy
A man in pain, he'll be told he needs to "man up"

This matches the experience of my childhood and young adulthood 100%. He’s not wrong even if I don’t agree with him politically on much.
Participating in โdecolonizationโ is a fairly low-cost activity for most people. You just throw out all the old books on your bookshelf that youโd never read anyway and replace them with POC authors youโll never read either.
— scientism (@mr_scientism) June 22, 2020
Well, he’s not wrong. Much more is always done for show than for anything else. This is true at any time and in any human activity.
When you see clueless press headlines about SARS-Cov-2 and lack of antibody persistence, realize that antibody persistence is only one of four (or so) types of immunity, and that alone doesn’t mean much for sustained immunity to the virus.
The press doesn’t know much in general, and it shows.
Buttedgelord is holding on to the delusion that the US is a meritocracy. He's telling you to blame yourself for not having "better skills."
I know dozens of Ivy League grads who need help to open a CSV file. They oppose free college because tuition keeps you out of the club. https://t.co/B8SGgD0g2k

Yep. I’ve known Ivy League grads who couldn’t find their fucking Start menu in Windows…after using a computer for a decade or more, and who couldn’t figure out how to check the voicemail on their office phone. That’s, of course, after being shown how by members of my team a dozen plus times.
Do progressives truly not realize that all relationships have power imbalances, that can have to do with age but not necessarily so? It’s not a very indicative indicator, in other words.
One of the very worst relationships I’ve ever seen was an older guy dating a younger woman. She treated him like garbage and controlled all his money. Let him do nothing. Fifteen year age gap and she was most definitely abusing him in every way possible. According to progressive orthodoxy, she was being “groomed” and “exploited,” but quite the opposite was actually happening. Not the only example I’ve seen of that, either!
And don’t get me started on the whole idea that dating outside your race is racism. Jesus fucking Christ that is fucking moronic.
I just intuitively ate Los Angeles.
Face masks donโt even have to work especially well to be effective.
Contrast with the stupid-ass article below. Fuck, who allowed that crap to be published and why?
