Cancel culture is real, and it’s usually most perpetrated by those who say “there’s no such thing as cancel culture.”
However, to understand it one must examine what’s really occurring. Cancel culture has nothing to do with morality or expiation of past sins — and it has everything to do with competition over a declining number of high-quality professional jobs. That’s why it’s actually worsening during the pandemic, as more of those jobs evaporate, never to return.
