Hillary Clinton alternate history series “Rodham” in development at Hulu.
Oh please god no. Spare us all.

“This place is pretty Marstastic!”
Another very weird liberal idea I am seeing lately pretty frequently is the notion that anyone who says “traditional architecture is good” or “we should build better buildings that last without all the shiny tech that breaks down” is a secret closet racist and Nazi.
It’s similar I guess to the idea that it’s racist to not want to outsource all manufacturing to China. It emerges from the same crumbling set of interlinking ideologies. Part of it is just cognitive dissonance and intellectual laziness, too. It’s easier not to think and just call everyone with a different idea “racist” and so-called woke capital supports this utterly.
Another part is the neoliberal mindset has truly infected everything, so these people deeply believe that anything from the past at all is racist, no matter what it is — meanwhile, they are content to ignore actual racism.
Also I think itโs important to remember that in the late 70s and early 80s my and my friends would be LITERALLY beat up for being nerds. Like hospital visit beat up. It wasnโt like now. Nerds were the lowest. Useless. Itโs hard to remeber that.

Exactly. It’s weird when women like Amanda Marcotte (who really, really hates nerds and geek culture) say things like, “Oh, you weren’t really oppressed, some people made fun of you in school, that’s nothing” and the other garbage they spew.
In school, these are the things that happened to me that were “nothing:”
Of course in school, it would’ve been Amanda Marcotte perpetrating or cheering on this shit, so of course she and those of her ilk believe that what people like me faced in the 80s is just small potatoes.
I’m somewhat convinced my migraines were caused by these persistent beatings, too.
Wokeness again helps management kick labor in the teeth. But it's good. Keep up the good work, freaks. You didnt mean for it to be coopted by cynical capitalists. Your intentions were pure. The solution, surely, is even more wokeness. https://t.co/wMvcbPZdUp

Seems these people never learn.
Iโve spent 2 weeks vacationing above 6500 feet (~2000 meters) elevation. I still constantly feel like Iโm not getting enough air. We actually have an oximeter with us and Iโm consistently at 98%. Brain still thinks Iโm oxygen-deprived. Brains are stupid.

It’s wiser in these situations — by far — to trust how you feel. An oximeter isn’t the truth. It’s just some numbers on a screen. Plenty of people have been fine on paper and passed out/died at high elevation.
Quantification is a scam, in many ways. Especially as we use it. Your body is a far more accurate indicator of distress than some tech that has no nuance.
