Iโve spent 2 weeks vacationing above 6500 feet (~2000 meters) elevation. I still constantly feel like Iโm not getting enough air. We actually have an oximeter with us and Iโm consistently at 98%. Brain still thinks Iโm oxygen-deprived. Brains are stupid.

Itโs wiser in these situations โ by far โ to trust how you feel. An oximeter isnโt the truth. Itโs just some numbers on a screen. Plenty of people have been fine on paper and passed out/died at high elevation.
Quantification is a scam, in many ways. Especially as we use it. Your body is a far more accurate indicator of distress than some tech that has no nuance.
