I used to be meh on banana pudding but j cafe has showed me the way https://t.co/Kt0RYDVXRP

My banana pudding will make you get religion. I’ve never had any banana pudding at a restaurant even 1/2 as good as mine. That one probably isn’t either.
That is NOT a good explanation on the TikTok stuff. TikTok mines private data on a level that Facebook would only wish it dares to. By law, TikTok has to hand over data to the Chinese government when needs be, which can be used for purposes much worse than selling you a desk 1/ https://t.co/zsOMJfCDIa

Seeing the usual assclown libs come out of the woodwork to say that not wanting to use TikTok is racist — the same morons who said social distancing and wearing facemasks was racist four months ago.
If we could expatriate every person who refused and refuses to wear a mask in public to another country (doesn’t matter which one), this country would suddenly become a lot better.
Had I the power, I’d do it in a second. Congratulations, you are now a citizen of Lesotho. Enjoy.
A sure sign that cancel culture exists is how many people say it doesn’t exist. Kind of like neoliberalism that way.
People like to say that “AI doesn’t think.”
The truth is, neither do humans most of the time. How much thinking do I do, how much time do I spent in thought? Maybe half a percent of my lived time, and I am probably in the top 0.001% of people.
AI doesn’t think. Humans don’t think. It’s all a sham.
"Fumbling" the Covid response is completely in the interest of the wealthiest and most powerful Americans. https://t.co/okohoUMsoU

Indeed. This isn’t an accident, nor regular incompetence. This is a seized opportunity. Welcome to (more) serfdom.
100%. How did we arrive at this notion that you must agree with everything someone thinks in order to appreciate their work? People are so anxious to ensure that other people's views conform to their own and it's not feasible.

I hardly agree — even remotely — with anyone alive, so if I used this liberal criterion I’d never be able to watch, read, or listen to anything.
Liberals are ridiculously fucking stupid, but conservatives alas are very ridiculously fucking stupid, so here we are.
Over 10,000 US retail stores will likely close in 2020: jobs gone, not coming back. No program to revive retail, cope with social damage of store closures. More system failure.https://t.co/Dkf0H8iHtI

Centrist: It’ll be fine. Sure. Looks good.
Reality: It only gets worse from here.
Elimination of pandemic transfer payments and returning to Feb levels of government spending would generate a $2 trillion demand shortfall, which is roughly equivalent to nuking Manhattan, San Francisco, Chicago, and Houston simultaneously. https://t.co/oGZdADB8c5

Our “experts,” ladies and gentleman. Just a reminder.
"There is no such thing as cancel culture"
followed by a justification of cancel culture.
We all know this is a choice a lot of people are taking or being intimidated into taking by dominant cultural forces in society right now. That's why we call it cancel *culture* not law. https://t.co/M8bMenifxr

Cancel culture is real, and it’s usually most perpetrated by those who say “there’s no such thing as cancel culture.”
However, to understand it one must examine what’s really occurring. Cancel culture has nothing to do with morality or expiation of past sins — and it has everything to do with competition over a declining number of high-quality professional jobs. That’s why it’s actually worsening during the pandemic, as more of those jobs evaporate, never to return.
This is how you think like an idiot.
A couple of months ago, I remember arguing that it would be fairly easy to restart the economy once we had defeated COVID-19. My reasoning was pretty simple: unlike a normal recession, which breeds a tremendous amount of uncertainty, an artificial recession can be brought to a clean end.
That’s just not how the economy works. It’s not how any complex system works. It’s a frankly child’s-level view of a system like the economy. How do people become this clueless?
I feel so active about this. Nothing's made me feel this hyped and angry in years. I want to write somebody or go protest. I would literally go protest in the streets about this. Or cry. I feel dumb if I cry about this but I think it might happen. I read all those subs so much.

Many of the subreddits I used to read are now banned, too. Not ideologically correct enough. I feel the same way she does, though I don’t care quite that much. The range of permitted discussion is ever-narrowing.
I did not know who else had signed that letter. I thought I was endorsing a well meaning, if vague, message against internet shaming. I did know Chomsky, Steinem, and Atwood were in, and I thought, good company.
The consequences are mine to bear. I am so sorry.

If you ever see me this weak and pitiful and loser-ish, fucking slap the shit out of me. Just do it. I’ll deserve it. Don’t hesitate. Haul off and let me have it.
