Here’s why our present system bites ass:
There are approximately 32 million people unemployed in the US right now. That’s almost certainly an undercount.
During that time, since March, my net worth has gone up by 25%, and I was barely trying (mainly just avoiding doing stupid things). Many billionaires made billions more during the same time.
This can’t go on. And it won’t.

That Wittgensteinian “language games” and the math that we do (“math games”) are not much different, really, and only because the fuzziness of much of quantification has been well-concealed do we think that math offers some Eternal Truth while using words is doomed to vagueness.
Math can and does achieve many things words alone cannot easily do. But math is not the world, and that’s where we are unbelievably confused and misled.
