Ninja Turtles

North Florida white trash. I am not sure exactly what is meant by “comfort food” as my brain just doesn’t operate that way, but by far my favorite food is pizza.

My favorite food from my cultural background is deep-fried fresh-caught catfish, though.

They Have a Plan

People are interpreting this as simple incompetence, but it’s not. Sure, it might’ve been at first. But now it’s a plan. Not in the conspiracy theory sense, but a bunch of plutocrats have aligned and decided to do what’s in their own interest. And what is in their interest is to allow the economy to melt down enough so that any organization they do not control or cannot profit from, or that might oppose them, is eradicated from the face of the country.

All to be replaced, of course, with their already-existing oligopolies or preferred vehicle of profit. That’s what you’re seeing now, and it’ll go on for a long while yet.

Non-Working

I’ve noticed that too. The dudes who show up at the Proud Boys and Trump rallies and such that the press describe as “working class” aren’t really at all. No one working class drives up in a brand-new $60,000 truck, nor sports weapons that cost $2,000.

These guys all own things like construction companies, landscaping companies, do high-end contracting, are landlords, and the like. Not really working class at all. No matter what you do, if you make more than 100K a year (in some areas, 70K) you just aren’t working class anymore.

Missin’ Mission

This is my philosophy, if I had to encapsulate it. Even if it isn’t this (I want it to be this), we simply must move beyond making money for other already-wealthy people to some sort of societal mission. It’s probably the only way we’ll survive long-term.

As to those who say this human expansion into space is impossible: the future is very long, and nothing about that violates the laws of physics. Many things that seem impossible just take a long time; there are many plateaus and many ways to eventually build other, higher plateaus.

Moon Rising

Winter is going to be about what I expected it to be: terrible.
