Some Hoax

A friend of mine’s grandfather died of the “hoax” coronavirus. And though he was old, he was otherwise healthy. He probably would’ve lived another 10+ years.

I’ve never seen a hoax be so deadly. Anti-maskers should be charged with negligent homicide.

Platommcic

Is there a platonic McDonald’s? Is there an idea of a McDonald’s that stands outside of time, space, the universe? If so, can we destroy that place?

Moot Meet

Had a boss, who was otherwise not bad, schedule an 8AM meeting at 11PM the night before.

Needless to say, almost no one (including me) showed up. That office did not have an early morning culture so most people didn’t even make it in until 9AM or later. He was puzzled about why no one showed up because he was a morning person and would’ve seen the meeting request at 4 or 5AM.

I and a few others explained to him that generally most people don’t even look at their email until they get into the office at 9AM unless there is an emergency.

After that, he was better.

Die Motherfucker Die

Firefox is now down to 4.5% market share. Good. Here’s why they failed (in large part*), but of course they never listened because they had an ideology and companies, like people, would rather die than renounce that.

As always, fuck Mozilla and fuck the Firefox developers!

*Three main things that killed Firefox: Signed extensions, Aurora, and deprecation of XUL/XPCOM.

Jax Up

Yes, you definitely should. Tests aren’t conclusive. The vaccine is (far more so). And the vaccine also produces a more robust immune response. You might not be immune (in the colloquial sense) from having had Covid-19, but the vaccine will give you far more certainty about that.
