What’s funny about this is that many, many modern feminists claim the top photo is a feminist utopia and the bottom one is patriarchal oppression:

Technocracy and the American Dream: The Technocrat Movement, 1900-1941: Akin, William E.
Is this fucking book available anywhere? I don’t have access to any university libraries, though I should in a just world.
Nothing You Know
For instance, about the below, I believe I’ve read every single peer-reviewed paper that exists in the world in English or French about the protective effect of facemasks. After the pandemic began, I also reviewed my epidemiology and virology textbooks that I read in toto about a decade ago.
What have you done? Nothing, of course. Then how are you in any way qualified to claim any fucking thing about if facemasks have any protective effect?
Answer: you are absolutely not. You don’t even know how wrong you are. All ya’ll sound like complete and utter doofuses. If that offends you, the fucks I do not give are boundless and timeless. Get smarter, don’t play stupid games, and I’ll be nicer.
Bozo From Chicago
Something else I was disappointed to realize as an adult is that most people know very little about how anything works (scientifically, societally, mechanistically, systemically, sociologically), have no curiosity about any of it, hold no real knowledge about the subject matter, yet still feel qualified to expound ill-founded opinions on it.
How can this be? Again, I just cannot fucking understand. I spend 10 years studying something and some dipshit who just learned what the “Discount Window” was five minutes ago is even allowed to have some sort of opinion on it? Just no. We live in a clown world.
Not Parmy
The Gobbler has declared cheese an enemy combatant.
Brain Powah
Liberals today are obsessed with age gaps in relationships for some reason (perhaps because they are amenable to easy quantification*), but the intelligence gap is far more determinative of who holds actual power in a relationship. It’s not the only factor, of course, but it’s a big one.
But it’s verboten, mostly, in the lib mind to talk about intelligence and it’d mostly never occur to them to apply this lens to relationships.
But I’m right and they are wrong.
*The ability to easily and in small sound bite/Twitter bite form quantify something seems to mostly control what’s allowed to be discussed now. Algos winning.
Lexeme
By banning words, the libs believe they can round off the edges of the world and make it just.
They have the causality exactly backwards; it’s the lexical equivalent of the equally-worthless plastic straw bans. Making the world just, however, can round off the edges and actually achieve something.
The thing is, one is a million times harder than the other. So banning words it is!
Stup
The Gobbler has renamed New York City to “Stupendous Donkey Frootloop” and everyone is really saying the latter but still thinks they are saying “New York City.”
Studies show that only 0.01% of people can hear what they are really saying.
Rigged Up
And oh my god I want all those beautiful automated camera rigs they have recording Bishop. Those are so nice.
I don’t need them and I have no use for them, but damn I lust after them.
I Tried
What a performance, especially sitting on the floor.
But whatever mook uploaded this in a slightly-incorrect aspect ratio needs to be slapped with a trout. How can you do such things.
IOWA – ะััั ะะธั
Her headpiece is beyond awesome.
A true full live performance and a really good one. Those guys way in the back are doing sound-mixing in real time and doing a shockingly good job, too.

A few comments on the economic outlook:
All year I've been too pessimistic on the economic recovery.
The reason is simple – In my worst nightmares, I never though the US would accept 400,000+ COVID deaths in the first year of the pandemic.

Eh, I thought we would. Just because what choice was there? There was absolutely no chance we’d get organized enough in the beginning to halt the worst of it, and after that it’d be too late.
So here we are, right about where I thought we’d be. And Biden will be no savior.
