As I told a friend, the pandemic will coincide with the largest loss of freedom since the Westphalian system was enacted (despite its advantages). Most of the restrictions will never go away, of course, because they never do.

America should be investing in more vaccine production not only to inoculate our country against Covid-19, but also to help rapidly vaccinate the rest of the world when we're done here. This would be both morally good and geopolitically advantageous.

Not trying to be tough, but I never felt any pain at all. I threw the pain meds in the garbage after the first day, having taken none of them. I don’t know why; maybe just a good dentist.

Yeah, I broke some guy’s collarbone during a fight. And though I never found out, I think I likely broke someone’s jaw when I kicked him during another fight.

She really does sound like Eddie. As close as anyone I’ve heard anyway. That finger-tapping is really hard.

The main difference is that it always seemed Eddie was about to break into a classical piece and no one else I’ve seen really can make the guitar sound like that. That’s why he was Eddie Van Halen and everyone else…is not.
