Paratroopers inspect each otherโs chutes, lines, and rigs. There were many women in my unit. Most often, itโd be a woman named Dubs I served with jumping with me, and weโd inspect each otherโs equipment before an exercise. Our lives were literally in each otherโs hands.
Not a metaphor. Thatโs just the reality.
