This isn’t even my home planet, so respect my seasons:

Shingra Lamon – The season when the largest of five moons aligns with the binary stars and the planet, thus amplifying the tides enormously. Lasts approximately two months.

Erniot Nanl – When the axial tilt of my home planet is at its most extreme and the magnetic field flips due to the strong resonance with the field of star Hyert I. Lasts four months.

Yut – When the brain-eaters emerge. Do not ask. Lasts two weeks.

Tyang Tag Toa – When the uqree trees declare the renewal of the ceremonial truce with the Yttru peoples. Lasts a month.

Hoir Bij – Also known in translation as the “scrambled season.” The magnetic field of star Hyert I becomes so strong that some temporary mind transference occurs. Lasts two months.

Ryt Tol – Hibernation time. Lasts a month.

Most people who believe they are strong, independent thinkers have never actually thought about anything in their lives. They swallow all the bien pensant opinions and ideas and regurgitate them like a 9-month-old spitting up her applesauce.

When you move past living like that it becomes startlingly obvious but also weirdly entrancing. There is a danger, though. If you don’t have a really good mind, it’s easy to tip over into conspiracizing and all that entails: anti-vaxx, aliens, etc. But fortunately I do have a quality mind and so that’s not a problem. And I’m also very humble too, obviously.

Yep. I remember reading articles about this in the late 1990s. It’s not like that GOF research being very risky is some novel and crazy idea.

Got to make sure we are out of the country for the 2024 election. I don’t mean as immigrants, necessarily, but we at least have to make sure we’re abroad while the election and whatever aftermath occurs.

Has the real possibility of turning into a bloodbath, and I don’t mean that metaphorically. Fortunately, we have enough $ to live anywhere for quite a while even with no jobs. I feel sad for others who do not have that luxury.

There is a really good chance Dems will lose 2024 completely legitimately, as they are terrible at doing what it takes to win, but if not they will not be allowed to take office at the presidential level and probably in other offices, too. Things could go very bad from there.

I know almost none of you understand risk, but think of it like insurance: if nothing unpleasant happens, then we get a nice vacation. If something does occur, then we’re already elsewhere.

That should never happen, yet it does quite often.

It’s funny seeing epidemiologists and virologists who run labs herd onto Twitter to say that there is just absolutely 100% no way that SARS-CoV-2 and the resultant pandemic was a lab leak.

This of course has nothing to do with whether Covid was a lab fuck-up or not. All these claims are just the result of the fact that they they don’t want to be defunded or have tighter restrictions placed on their research.

When you understand that, it’s easy to see why they claim scientific certainty when in reality there is no actual evidence either way.
