On a somewhat-similar theme, itโs so strange to me how many lib types go nuts when some real footage of a disaster is used in a film. I think I will never understand this.
Cinema is how we think about ourselves; itโs one way we reason as a society. Itโs important that have all the tools available to us there. Sure, the footage can be used poorly or flippantly (and even this should be allowed IMO), but most of the time itโs there to achieve verisimilitude and to make the film have some actual resonance.
But most liberals want to exist in some sort of dream world, one where biology is not real, where disasters do not happen, where sex is virtual, where no one is ever sad and the pod is always warm.
