I can always count on Zeynep not to be an insane dipshit. I like her brain so much. She has one of my very favorite brains. If I were a brain collector I’d take it. But I’d prefer it to stay inside her head, doing its thing.

Will things ever return to normal? It doesn’t look that way right now.

Ah, bullshit. The SARS-Cov-2 virus isn’t infinitely adaptable; it has no plan. We have vaccines, good ones. We can create more. Natural immunity also seems to last quite a while.

Thus, the pandemic will end. Our stupidity has artificially extended it, and I fully expect a surge in fall and winter. The “experts” will predict another mega-surge of doom for spring and summer 2022, but this will never materialize. After that the pandemic will mostly peter out. The whole time, though, those same “experts” will be doom-mongering and working closely with the plutes to try to keep us all hiding inside.

And that’s they way it’ll be. The pandemic will be over, mostly, by spring of 2022 though the blue state scoldy people will take far longer to let it go.

I love watching airport arrivals. The reunions say: life is better now you’re here.

Just think that this pains many liberals, who crave keeping people apart, who wish to destroy pleasure in the world, who have in general and especially of late devoted their lives to making sure this cannot happen, whose goal is preserving prison countries and social isolation, and who have stopped at nothing to prevent people from visiting mothers, daughters, sons, friends and other loved ones for in some cases well more than a year.

This is the sad and defective liberalism — a liberalism that does not even deserve the name — that we’ve created.

And we should destroy it because it serves no one and nothing.
