Thse people really do want us living in fear. And have no idea about risk at all, and don’t care to learn. Expect a really huge and coordinated propaganda push now (and related hysteria) as the number of vaccinated people increases and the very-much-expected breakthrough cases occur.

All in the service of attempting to herd us back indoors and to keep the prison countries going as open-air penitentiaries as long as possible.

There is some legitimate worry about variants (though the danger there is way overhyped), but there were indeed many people espousing the view that until the entire world was fully vaccinated, we should all wear 20 masks while cowering under the bed wailing dolefully, never emerging to breathe the free air.

How long will it take for everyone to get vaccinated? Ten years? Twenty? The answer of course is that will never happen due to the anti-vaxxers, so we’d have to hide inside and wear masks eternally. Which, of course, is the covert goal of which you are not supposed to speak.

The pandemic became about so much more than the pandemic, in ways both accidental and deliberate.

Are these people not aware that a variety of safe and very effective vaccines are available?

I mean, what is the malfunction here? Are they just pretending they don’t know that the vaccines work? Sorry for all the questions but I legitimately just do not know how to explain this common lib behavior. It is completely incomprehensible to me. Do they really want to live this way?

All that said, I fully and truly do not understand how many of them just seem to not mention or not even care that the vaccines work. The world has changed but they still sound like they are living in March of 2020. I wish someone could tell me what is going on with that because I am lost.

Only a few viruses mutate quickly. People have heard of HIV the most so that’s what they always cite, but it’s rare in the viral kingdom in that it does have a high mutation rate. This is why it’s very difficult to create a vaccine to combat it reliably. (And that it works differently than most other viruses matters.)

Coronaviruses do *not* mutate quickly and Covid is demonstrative of that. No matter the scaremongering you hear about those terrifying variants, the mutation rate is quite low, especially considering the amount of hosts SARS2 has in which to modify itself. This is exactly why we have effective vaccines and why people in Asia infected with bat coronaviruses decades ago still have some immunity against Covid right fucking now.
