It’s really cool how the so-called liberals have become the prissy fuddy-duddies we used to zealously mock in the 1990s and 2000s.
And by “cool,” I mean it’s FUCKING TERRIBLE.

I can hear the liberal wails from here. They hate this.
People don’t seem to realize just yet that Covid is largely seasonal. When folks spend more time outside, Covid infections go way down. Then, winter comes, and infections skyrocket. Yet I continue to see shocked and puzzled headlines about this even though it’s completely fucking obvious.
Yes, this even applies to India, because when Delta swept that country it was monsoon season, when people spend much, much more time inside.
I thought it was going to take a disaster to change society significantly. Then Covid came and even that didn’t change much.
Now I think it’s going to take a really, really big disaster.
I wrote something similar to the below to a friend a few minutes ago.
I think a lot of people do enjoy living in fear. “Enjoy” is not the best word, but I cannot think of a better one just yet. They feel it’s comfortable, at least, and like it. Covid really exposed this, but I think there’s a lot of these types, and not just on the left: the preppers (mostly right-wing) are another example.
Man, I hate them.
"you're living in fear of covid"
yeah, man. if tigers were invisible and could get you in the grocery store I'd live in fear of those fuckers too.

Hiiiii! Have you heard about the vaccines? They’re pretty cool, you should totally look into them.
What the fuck is wrong with these mooks?
leaving aside the 15 jackass things in this tweetโฆ who leaves valuable stuff in their car? anywhere?? https://t.co/Oy2F3L4npR

Nothing like blaming the victim. Sometimes you have no choice but to leave things in the car.
I thought liberals were against victim blaming? Oh, right, depends on the situation.
No more pandemic excuses โ this Thanksgiving we are going to a party.
This is how you do it. Time to stop living in fear.
Someone in an article referred to Pride and Prejudice taking place in the Victorian era and I am now stabby. 🔪 pic.twitter.com/3rtndX3Zq5

I saw that article too. I think a lot of people now use “Victorian” to mean “anything before 1900 or so.”
Isn’t it just damn weird that people can interpret harm as a “word I don’t like” but can’t acknowledge that masks do have some harmful effects? Why lie? Why not just say that yes, masks have some detrimental impacts but are worth the trade-off?
Oh right, liberals absolutely cannot think about or speak of trade-offs. I forgot.
