No Both Sides Later
Omicron isolation makes me long for the simple joy of hanging out with a friend.
Amazing that expressing sentiments like this became controversial. What the fucking fuck.
Council of Clermont
The ZeroCovid people are truly insane. 1) They are welcome to provide their children with vaccines and N95 masks – why would mask optional be such a disaster?) 2) My grandmother survived Auschwitz and their use of โeugenicsโ is extremely offensive.

When something becomes religious, all becomes a crusade. No easy way out of that trap.
Abstract Technique
What is the most beautiful song you have ever heard?
“Ever” is not something I really do, but I’d nominate Rameses B’s “Bae Bae.”
Secondary pick is “Lo Boob Oscillator” by Stereolab. Lรฆtitia Sadier has such a lovely voice and perfect Parisian accent.
Trace
Does anyone else remember the super brief period after Covid first surfaced where certain activist types were like โif you freak out over this virus youโre racistโ ?

Yes I do. It’s been mostly memory-holed now, but it wasn’t really super-brief. It lasted about two months or so, and it was more widespread than just “activist types.” But at least (s)he recognizes it happened at all. It really hampered early pandemic response.
We are not smart.
Wall Jumper
Wallowing in loserdom seems to be what we’ve chosen collectively and individually.
I refuse and resist.
Florrie – Live a Little
I don’t know much about Florrie, but she is in fact a drummer, and a really good one.
Cool video and fun song.
