Yes. And straight men get blamed for “beauty standards” that these fucking clowns promote and enforce. Not sure why, exactly, that we catch the blame for their BS but modern feminists seem incapable of examining that at all.
It’s nice that the linked article does go into the fact that the “vast majority of men” also reject those standards. That’s very rare.
When I think about how easily people believe absolute BS like anti-vax claptrap, or how that making your browser less capable is making it more “secure,” or that corporations have your best interest at heart, I kind of wish I’d used more of my powers for evil. Because I would’ve been good at it and it’s just easy.
Why, though? Why is it easy? I know libs and such will be upset about it, but I think it’s because there’s a large evolutionary mismatch between how we as humans evolved and the civilization we’ve built. We all live in it, but only about 10% of us can handle it cognitively. That’s a huge problem that only seems to be getting worse as we relentlessly increase the cognitive load required to live in our world.
I don’t know of any solutions, really. Just ideas is all I have.
