This is exactly how you should do it, I think? Try to stay in a weight window that’s healthy. What else makes any fucking sense? That’s not disordered eating; that’s merely not wallowing in fucking loserdom. It’s just keeping your dignity about you and valuing your own quality of life over the “joy” of that loserdom-wallowing.
I used to really like Casey, but no more. To keep her readership she’s had to move to Fat Acceptance talking points. Earlier today, I was thinking how tragic it is that the FA ideology has pretty much dominated the discourse for a decade now and just how many people that has harmed. In the end, it’ll probably be responsible for putting more people in an early grave than Covid, and for making the quality of their lives worse the entire time.
Casey herself is not a loser, but to survive as a journalist she’s had to embrace this or get obliterated. It’s a sad thing to see.
