Croque

Eh, not really at all. Very naรฏve literal translation. That’s how a non-French speaker might translate it. But that’s not how it feels in French. Anyway, it better translates as “crunchy man” or “crunchy gentleman.” But that’s still only half accurate because it really translates as a complete nominative designation for the sandwich it in fact is.

Anyway, in reality, without a hyphen “croque monsieur” is slang for “hot guy” in (most) French places and the sandwich would be (le) “croque-monsieur.” So there’s that.

Blue Genes

Indeed. There are more factors to why the virus proliferates more readily in some places other than policy and practices — probably genetic in nature. But can’t talk about that.

Graded

You only do not have to worry about grades when you are very exceptional in some other important way. Otherwise, you better be concerned with them.

(I did not have to worry about grades.)
