Masks became a team identity marker and a way of showing you are committed to doing something about the pandemic — even if in many situations a mask is nearly useless and became much less important after vaccines were available. Flying the team colors is really important to a lot of people. And some people legitimately are terrified because of liberal anti-vax propaganda out there.
I’ve seen many, many libs advocating wearing masks forever. Yes it’s insane but it’s hard to give up identity-defining items and practices.
I knew our civilization was done for when it became acceptable to glorify walking around looking like an absolute dumpster by choice. That was really the moment. All was just unavoidable decline and defeat from there on out.

If you grew up in a super-Christian area, as I did, it’s kind of always been this way for you. But now it’s spread to every corner thanks to our crappy tech.
To the people who say you can’t build significant muscle in your 40s: no you can’t, if you just sit around and wallow in your loserdom. If you do something other than that — if you actually work hard and don’t shirk — you can get pretty jacked.
The choice is yours. Wallow or don’t. You only have to live with yourself.
