Yeah, that article was terrible. Poorly-researched gutter trash. Indeed, schools were open in much of Europe throughout the pandemic. I guess libs are obsessed with keeping schools closed because the real PMC goal is eliminating publc schools altogether, in combination with pandemic-spurred religious feelings?

That article is embarrassingly bad. Its appalling intellectual failure is only exceeded by the lack of understanding of the fields it purports to cover and even basic scientific facts. Just what the fuck.

Argue

It could be. The future is what we make it; nothing more, nothing less.

Anything that does not violate the laws of physics is a possible future. And anything we can actually do, we can afford. The liberal future of slurping bug slurry in a concrete pod locked 23 hours a day “for your own good” is a possible one too, of course. Those are the versions we should resist unto death itself but aren’t doing a particularly good job of forestalling.

Covert Covid Religion

Something I’ve been thinking about recently, as Covid prevention has become a deeply held religion for many liberals, is how many they’d be willing to outright kill to stop Covid. I suspect for many it’d be way more than have actually died or will ever die of Covid; that’s what religion does to your brain if not constrained and contained.

After all, many of the methods they propose, such a worldwide, months-long lockdowns, would cause widespread famines in many parts of the world from which many places would never recover. Millions would die and would continue to perish for a very long time after.

But now it’s a holy cause for which no explanation nor justification is needed; as with a Crusade, it’s simply what must be done no matter the cost and no matter how little sense it makes.
