Mark His Words

Mark is one of the few people who understands what’s going on in Ukraine militarily, what matters and what does not. Sinking the Moskva is a really big deal and I am still pleasantly surprised the Ukrainians pulled that off. That’s kind of like a few ants taking down an elephant.

Not Noamal

Used to respect Chomsky. Not so much anymore.

Power Games

I don’t think it’s any of those, mostly, though it is fully moronic. It’s mainly the belief that the West can never do anything right, and all is America’s fault. Sometimes, it is America’s fault but in the case of Ukraine not so much.

This is how those people think: Since America is supporting Ukraine, that makes Ukraine officially bad, therefore Ukraine should allow itself to be destroyed because that is “just.”

Also, a lot of those people are reflexive contrarians, like Ian Welsh. That does not lead to good thinking, even though it means you are often right.

Sure How

I solve problems like this all the time, that people have worked weeks or months on. That is kind of my specialty. One of the most common things I hear is, “The IT team has been trying to fix this for weeks/months/years! You solved it in 5 minutes! How you’d know where to look?”

There is no answer to that question other than The Path. ๐Ÿ˜‰
