Good thread. Bottom line: cloth masks don’t do much. KN95 or better masks with proper fit protect even when no one else is masking. And mask mandates are mostly worthless.
All beauty treatments are gender-affirming. No hairdressers, make-up, eyebrow waxing/threading, for “girls“ under 25. No barbers, working out, etc for the “boys”.

I think this is probably inevitable. I suspect the age of consent for women will be raised to 25, perhaps 30, within my lifetime. And that it will become illegal to date anyone not within two years of your own age no matter your own age. Liberal prudes will demand this.

Night ops are incredible hard. My old unit (82nd) trained constantly to be good at this. Most of my jumps were at night for just this reason. That the Ukrainians are mastering this is a good sign. When you get attacked and ransacked in the night with no warning — well, that’s just devastating to morale.
Was NATO enlargement a mistake? No.
Was it the best possible outcome? No.
But it did avoid the worst possible outcome…and that's good enough in foreign policy.
