Falls Fully

Agree with this; has been brewing for a while. Gay marriage and contraception are next up after abortion falls.

Log Law

It is very, very, very hard. I don’t think the whining libs know just how difficult. The US makes it look easy and effortless because we have so much unfortunate practice. We can get 100,000+ troops across entire oceans with all their equipment in weeks if needed. Most nations would struggle with getting 10,000 troops across their own border in that amount of time.

This is an incredibly difficult thing that we do just as a matter of course.

Work Env

Good observation. Primarily, the media is as terrible as it is because it is corporate controlled and mostly staffed by trust fund Ivy Leaguers. They report what their masters tell them to report (and not report), and have no idea what’s happening anywhere and no understanding of it if they did. This is all by design. Some lefties have fallen completely for Russian propaganda as well, though. Ian Welsh and Noam Chomsky are good examples of that occurring.

I remember this; memory-holed now, though.

Past Mistakes

Yeah, looking back now, if the Ukrainians would’ve had what we’ve been giving them and are about to send to them the Russians wouldn’t have made it 20km over the border before they were repulsed. That was a mistake, but one I also would’ve made. I had no idea the Russian army was so ineffective and that the Ukrainians were already so skilled.

The Strat

This is the Ukrainian strategy. It’s one used many times in war and it is:

1) Allow an enemy to take territory uselessly.
2) Use agile rearguard actions to destroy supply and supply lines.
3) Wait until the frontline units run out of supplies.
4) Destroy those frontline units and retake territory.

I mean, contrary to Ian Welsh’s clown shit, this is not some mystery strategy; I’m not giving away the game here. It’s obvious to anyone who knows a damn thing this is what the Ukrainians had started to do. And that’s because it’s the best strategy in this scenario. Does not take a fucking genius to see.

Abu What

I was telling my partner that the general public memory for events is about six months. Really exceptional people remember things for about two years. After that, it’s totally forgotten by nearly everyone.

The vast, vast majority of people did not recall (and still don’t know) that Russia had already invaded Ukraine in 2014, for instance. This included more than a few of my friends.
