“Mouse,” the scientific name for mice as a species, and “muscle” share the same etymology. Long story short, some ancient people thought muscles looked like mice crawling around under the skin…and there ya go. “Musculus” literally means “little mouse” in Latin.

Gression

Tech has regressed in most ways to where it was in 1989 or so. It’s that bad now.

S & G

Live as a woman. Sex and/or gender mean little to me. That would just be easier.

A Pox On

Covid became identity-entangled; monkeypox (which will amount to nothing) has not. That’s it. That’s all.

Elite

Generally true, though it makes many people cry big. Genetics really matter, and the more elite you are the more genetics matter because then the more everything matters.

Xes

Do people genuinely enjoy sex scenes in shows/movies?

When it’s well done, yes, very much. It reveals something about the characters and who they are. Some good examples in mainstream films are Maria Bello’s and Viggo Mortensen’s sex scene in A History of Violence and the Margot Robbie and Leonardo DiCaprio sex scene in Wolf of Wall Street. There are tons of others!

And if you really want to watch a non-porn movie that has a whole lot of (unsimulated) sex that is integral to the film, watch the 1976 movie In the Realm of the Senses. I recommend the movie, but probably not if you’re American — then avoid. But I really like that film. It’s in my top 100.

So many prudes in that comment thread! Lordamercy.
