Every country's past is steeped in violence. Understanding this is not "whataboutism" but requisite to recognizing the origins of wealth and political society. Parts of the Left focusing on the centrality of violence in American history can promote a negative exceptionalism.

If I could instantly download one set of skills/understanding into the brain of every person I interacted with, it would be systems thinking.

Being able to connect the dots and make educated guesses about why connected things happen, or don't, is a real world superpower.

Indeed it is. Expect questions like, “How could you have possibly known that?” Or statements like, “That was just luck,” even though you do it over and over again.

But when you consistently win against losers, the thing is what they say doesn’t matter.
