I’m an excellent troubleshooter and this resembles my philosophy and method. And yes, I do solve things that cannot be found via Google. I’m the guy you call when you’ve already called all the other guys.*
Reminds me that I also need to put together some sort of Troubleshooting Theory class for my team. I am still not sure troubleshooting can be taught, but I am still willing to give it a go. If it improves troubleshooting capability even 20% it’ll be well worth it.
*Thursday, I solved a problem that two developers, one member of my team, and a few other people had spent two weeks on. I cracked it in less than five minutes. I just didn’t have time to look at it any earlier.

Anyone who knows anything about Russsian military capability knows they have really excellent SAM systems and have for many, many years. This is no secret. They developed these because they realized they’d never have an air power advantage over NATO.
It has now been 76 days since the Russians launched the Battle of the Dohnbas. This would make it one of the longest major battles in the 20th and 21st centuries. Many times longer than Kursk,e Bagration Normandy, Bulge, etc. Its much closer to WWI (Somme, Passchendale, Verdun)

I have a nightmare every few weeks that I’m back in the army and forget my cover (hat). I have no idea why. I never forgot it when I was in the army. Not even once. The nightmare makes no sense. I didn’t even worry about it when I was in the actual army and never had that dream when I was serving.

Fuck yes they are. Liberals who did not grow up around these people have NO IDEA. No idea at all. They are usually comically clueless. An evangelical sees himself (the male pronoun used very deliberately here) and his whole family dying while taking you with them as a good thing. Because, see, they are going to heaven and that will send you to hell where you belong.
The main reason that I am worried about red states getting control of nuclear weapons in the upcoming Civil War II is that they will not hesitate to use them to bring about the Kingdom of Jesus. Were never right. All the things people said were “just a phase” were lifelong interests, or things I’ve avoided for life (like having kids).
All the “realpolitik” types assume that if NATO/the US went to war with Russia, we’d be slugging it out on the ground with artillery like the Ukrainians are currently doing. Come on, y’all, it just would not happen that way. There’s a reason we spend so goddamn much on our air power, and it’s not to send people to die in artillery barrages.
Hint: artillery is big, difficult to move, easy to see and when you fire it, the fucking round leads right back to your position.
We don’t have to fight like the Ukrainians are fighting because we have tons of things the Ukrainians do not and likely never will.
