โItโs Scaryโ: Students Fear Going to College in Red States After Roe.
As they should. There will be a huge outflow of people from red states in the next few years — and it’ll mostly be the smartest people, too. Red states are so fucked.

PSA for Americans: @Walgreens apparently sells data about pregnancy test sales to third parties, presumably in states where abortion is criminalized.
Don't use plastic to buy pregnancy tests at Walgreens. (Or anything else.) Your privacy and safety is of no interest to them. https://t.co/a3kV5BObSl

All the things that were obviously gonna happen if Roe got overturned are happening, even though to many people they “could never happen.”
Is this normal? People usually report anti-anxiety meds are pretty effective. Is it mostly for low-grade, chronic anxiety as opposed to acute terror experiences? Is there any drug that's real good at suppressing acute terror?

The best treatment is taking over the galaxy and becoming Galactic Overlord.

Libs: “Masks don’t cause any issues! They don’t cause any breathing problems! People getting smothered with a pillow is a myth, it’s all just cloth! Masks cure cancer and are like a thousand feet of lead shielding! Back in my day, we wore masks to bed, one over our eyes and three over our noses and mouths!”
The trans effort to erase women and their existence isn’t inclusive at all. It greatly harms women and is allowing men to overturn the gains of feminism — the actual goal here.
Call me transphobic all you want — I’m still correct, and that’s all I care about.
Fuck the term “birth givers.” Hell/clown world merging.
At least 25% of the reason I listen to country is because slide guitar fucking rules.
My brain just did a hard reset because I’m listening to a song that is switching between French, English and German and it is just too tired to handle that at all.
the particular mindset whereby avoiding covid is something *you* did and deserve credit for, but getting covid is something some other less vigilant bad person did *to* you and you can't be blamed

Those people are fucking clowns. And there are so many of them.
This is a good thread. My favorite part is below. Related to that, I have never in my life been as productive as when I had a personal assistant. I got 3-4x more done. Now, white collar jobs are mostly clerical/bureaucratic work because it “saves money.” Really, it doesn’t, but you can make your little Excel spreadsheets look like it does.
We’ve all been relegated to things the secretary pool used to do. And there’s nothing at all wrong with being a secretary! But it also doesn’t make sense that we’ve all become one so the MBAs can pretend to save money to get their bonuses.
I just want to create a society in which everyone can have meaningful work and be able to afford a house and start a family and by ‘meaningful work’ I mean be part of a multi-billion-year campaign to take control of all matter and energy in the universe.

This is the only project worth undertaking.
Fat Acceptance lib nutty buddy types will talk about how shaming is bad, doesn’t work, etc., and then spend their entire goddamn lives shaming other people for wanting to live in a house, drive a car, not be confined to a scooter, and not eat bugs.
Totally sensible.
What kind of doctor is gonna want to move to Ohio or Indiana now? What kind of woman or girl? It's open season. Out-of-touch cultish religious fanatics run the whole damn show.

Magnify that times a million and you can see why all red states will be unlivable hellholes within a decade. Get out while you can.
Faine is completely right about the below. I grew up in one of the reddest counties in the country — though we didn’t call it “red,” then. That chromonym was reserved only for “commies” at that time. But red areas do feel more menacing now, by far. Now there’s always some dipshit in a raised truck with way too many guns just looking for an excuse to shoot you, or if you’re a woman, perhaps something even worse.
Even a few years ago, I thought the US had a hope and reason for remaining one nation. Now, I don’t care. Let the red states fuck off and become hellholes. They seem to want to do that, so why not let them proceed with it?
The fall of Roe is going to hurt women's careers all over the country (and the world), because a whole lot of women will VERY REASONABLY avoid business travel to states run by anti-abortion lunatics.
Men who don't join them in this are scumbags.

Yep. If I were a woman, no way in hell I’d travel to any red state ever again. No fucking way. Why take that risk? If you get sick and are a woman, there’s a very good chance you won’t be treated because you “might be pregnant” or “can get pregnant.”
