Certainly one of the better ones. UI/UX people insist it’s bad because your 63 IQ gramma who has obliterated her brain with meth use for 57 years can’t make sense of it, but should that really be the standard we go for? Hell to the no.
This is a perfect song. I have favorite songs that I don’t consider perfect songs, but this is both a favorite and a perfect song.
That bass line is great. Yes, I know it’s very simple but when simple works, it’s all you need. That baritone sax adds so much, too — and I usually dislike sax in songs. And the video is great as well. I like that the Haim sisters aren’t prudes and that the video is beautifully shot and directed, but I do wish there were a 4K version.
Fucking fantastic cover. The original is one of my very favorite country songs and this does it justice completely. Wish I could’ve been there to see that.
I remember watching this intro with my grandparents. I’d never seen anything quite like it before. I didn’t really like the show but I loved the intro of this one season/episode because it was so meta and unlike the rest of the series.
Also, that 1970s/1980s accent that’s just gone now! So mysterious. They all use it in Moonlighting and every other show from that era, and during the 1990s it just disappeared in a flash.
Worked out so hard I don’t even know who I am anymore. Woooo!
